BOSTON, Mass. – The MIT women’s basketball team received an Institute-record five postseason awards from the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) as announced by the league on Tuesday. Head Coach Sonia Raman was tabbed for Coach of the Year honors as freshman Kara Holinski (Livonia, Mich.) was voted the league’s Rookie of the Year in addition to earning a spot on the All-Conference second team. Senior Sabrina Drammis (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) was a repeat pick for the All-Conference first team while the Engineers were the recipients of the Sportsmanship Award.
