MIT outscored SUNY Polytechnic Institute, 21-9, during the final eight minutes of regulation to help it pull away for a 69-56 non-conference women’s basketball victory on Tuesday afternoon. The Engineers, who had four players reach double-digits in scoring, were led by junior Jocelyn Luizzi’s (Colchester, Conn.) game-high 19 points and 12 rebounds. Jaida Washington powered the Wildcats with 13 points, eight rebounds, two blocks, two steals, and two assists.
